Bro. Esitio Niuliki, SSCC, professed his perpetual vows into the hands of Very Reverend Herman Gomes, SSCC, Provincial Superior of the U.S. Province on 2nd February, 2019 at St. Mary’s Parish in Fairhaven, MA. Twenty-one of Bro. Tio’s family members and friends travelled from Futuna in the South Pacific and France to be at this great event. People from St. Anthony’s Food Pantry, the Sacred Heart Home, St. Joseph Parish and other communities came, reflecting the many ministries Bro. Tio has given to so graciously.
Fr. Herman thanked Bro. Tio’s family, who were radiant with joy and resplendently attired, for their excellent formation of Bro. Tio, and to St. Mary’s Parish for likewise supporting and loving him. People commented on the beauty of the liturgy, including the music, and the great joy of Bro. Tio.
We thank God for Bro. Tio’s “Yes” to God and the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, and for so many who have nurtured him. We look forward with great anticipation to his ordination to the diaconate next Saturday, 9th February, by the Most Reverend Edgar da Cunha, SVD, Bishop of the Diocese of Fall River, Massachusetts.
