Philippine Zone holds first Assembly under Indonesian Province

The Philippine Zone held its first assembly as part of the Indonesian Province, marking an important milestone in its process of integration and collaboration. The two-day gathering brought together the brothers of the Philippines in a spirit of fraternity, reflection, and shared mission.

The assembly was attended by key leaders of the Congregation, including Fr. Pankras Olak, Provincial Superior of Indonesia; Fr. Alberto Toutin, General Superior; Fr. Nacho Moreno, General Econome; and Fr. Alex Dato, Provincial Econome of Indonesia, together with all the brothers assigned to the Philippine Zone.

Discussions and reflections focused on three core themes vital to the life and mission of the Zone: fraternal care, leadership, and financial stability.

On the second day, the assembly proceeded with the election of the new leadership team. Fr. Bonie Payong was elected Coordinator, Fr. Felipe Lazcano Vice Coordinator, and Fr. Ross Cortez Dela Cruz Secretary. The newly elected team later appointed Fr. Tono Martana, as Econome of the Zone. Committee heads were also chosen on the final day to support the effective implementation of the Zone’s mission and programs.

The assembly concluded with a restructuring of leadership in each local community of the Philippine Zone. The brothers accepted their new assignments with generosity, expressing a renewed spirit of obedience, collaboration, and commitment to the common mission.
