On the afternoon of July 6th, the Poitiers Session 2026 began at the Mother House of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts in Picpus (Paris), a gathering bringing together 28 sisters and brothers of the Sacred Hearts from various presences around the world. It will unfold in three stages: Paris, Belgium, and Poitiers.
For the participating brothers, the gathering holds special significance: it is a time of preparation for perpetual profession, a decisive step on the path of religious consecration within the SSCC family.
The theme running through the entire Session is the consecration to the Sacred Hearts as the foundation of our Institute, a journey that, in keeping with the wish of the Good Father, invites participants to deepen their understanding of SSCC Spirituality and Charism, from its most literal roots to its concrete expression in consecrated life today.
The accompanying team (Noemí García, Jean Blaise Mwanda, María del Mar Pérez, Enrique Ramírez, Valent Sedu Ritan, and Fernando Cordero) wished to present this time as a space to Believe, Grow, and Create: to believe in consecrated life and in the spirituality received; to grow as a religious family through each encounter; and to create life, fraternity, and witness to announce to the world the love of God made flesh in Jesus.
The itinerary will also include, on July 9th, the feast of Our Lady of Peace — in the year marking 220 years since her arrival in the religious family — and a commemoration of the arrival of the first missionaries in Hawaii, with a special talk given by the Congregation's Superiors General, followed by a time for dialogue and questions.

The Poitiers Session 2026 will continue over the coming days with times of prayer led by the participants themselves, presentations of the various local realities represented, and moments of fraternal encounter, on a journey that seeks to revitalize each person's spiritual life from the very roots of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts.
