On Saturday, August 18, the presbyterial ordination of Edmar Aparecido de Oliveira sscc took place in the rural community where his family lives, his parents Vicente and Lionita, in Fnil, in the city of Mário Campos.
It was a true event of unity of the families living there, simple and united to welcome the more than a thousand people from diverse communities of the Congregation in Brazil.
The celebrant bishop, Joaquim Mol, auxiliary of the archdiocese of Belo Horizonte and rector of the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, highlighted the importance of the local Christian community and the service of the religious missionary priests in fidelity to the SSCC charism.
Diocesan priests, religious, students of theology, members of the Secular Branch, and SSCC sisters and brothers were present.
After the wonderful celebration, everyone participated in the lunch very well prepared by the community. Father Edmar celebrated the first Mass on Sunday the 19th at 9:30 in the Chapel of Santo Antonio, in Funil, where Edmar grew up.
