Priestly ordination of Gregorio Samuel Silvero (Paraguay)

With great joy, on 20 October, the priestly ordination of our brother Gregorio Samuel Silvero was celebrated in the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima in the city of Presidente Franco (Alto Paraná - Paraguay).

The celebration was presided over by Bishop Guillermo Stecklin, Bishop of the Diocese of Ciudad del Este and was attended by brothers, sisters and lay members of the Congregation, as well as the presence of relatives, local friends, foreigners and delegates coming from the different works of the Congregation in Paraguay.

The Provincial Superior, Osvanio Humberto Mariano, recalled the profound significance of celebrating this feast in memory of St. Caprasius, bishop and martyr; a saint who inspired our founder to leave the granary to make his way to the mission.

For his part, our brother Samuel thanked everyone for accompanying him throughout the formation process. He recalled his many pranks at the Sacred Hearts School of our sisters, reflecting on the great path of growth that they offered him. He exhorted the young people to recognize mischief as part of their path for growth, inviting them not to stop there, encouraging them to advance in their personal maturity and to always seek to respond to the calls that God makes to them, trusting that God gives us everything necessary to persevere along the paths to which he calls us to travel.

May the witness of our Founder inspire Samuel and all of us to go out to meet Christ in the poorest, in the persecuted, in those to whom we are called to proclaim the love of God manifested in the person of Jesus Christ with the confidence that he accompanies us in the most difficult moments of our mission.
