In the communion of the Church, the people of God, our brothers Atilio Pizarro and Rafael García made their perpetual profession in Damián de Molokai Parish in Santiago, Chile. Within the framework of a vibrant liturgy that connected with the people, the young religious committed themselves to being humbly involved in a new way of being Church. René Cabezón, Provincial Superior, in this time of crisis, invited them not to forget the words that come from the heart of Jesus: "Do not let us fall into temptation and deliver us from evil."
The majority of sscc brothers of the Province, a good number of sscc sisters and laity, diocesan priests, the families of those who professed, as well as friends and colleagues and the presence of lay people involved in the most diverse works of the Province - especially from northern Chile - came to participate in the Eucharist. In the celebration the sign of the unity of brothers and sisters of the Congregation was especially visible. Verónica Cruz sscc imposed the SSCC cross on Atilio and Rafael, and addressed some beautiful words to them as well as signing as a witness to their profession. In the offertory and in the final thanksgiving, gifts representing indigenous peoples and sexual diversity were presented. The festivities continued with a meal, at which the relatives of Atilio and Rafael were able to show their the joy at seeing their children happy to have been called to participate this new way of living the mystery of the Church.
