In the afternoon of December 20, in the Sagrados Corazones parish (Mexico City), Brother Edgar Pacheco Bárcenas made his perpetual profession into the hands of Pedro Díaz, Provincial Superior. Edgar was accompanied by brothers and sisters of the Congregation, as well as the parish community and friends and relatives from Hidalgo.
In the celebration an image of Saint Oscar Romero was visible, serving as an inspiration for religious life of Latin America. In his homily, the Provincial encouraged the community, especially Edgar, to always trust in the Lord: "Sometimes it seems that we are going to be overwhelmed by the challenges, but our experience tells us that God has always been with us and that his grace also abounds"; moreover "we are never alone, there is always a community that supports, accompanies and enriches us”.
After the Eucharist, the celebrations continued in the Holy Trinity Parish (Mexico City) where there was a sharing of food, music, song and dance.
