In the parish of The Resurrection of the Lord, in Bagong Silang, our Indonesian sister Tiar Simangunsong (32) and our Filipino brother Don Malnegro (33) held on May 10, Saturday, their first profession of religious vows, in the context of the feast of St. Damien of Molokai.

The ceremony began at 9 am, with the Eucharist presided by the Provincial of Japan-Philippines, John Yamada. The homily was delivered by Raul Valverde, novice master. After this, the respective major superiors –Ratna Kumalasari and John Yamada– received in his hands the commitments of Tiar and Don. Then, the brothers and sisters of the Congregation gave them their welcome. At the end, the newly professed thanked God, their formators and the Congregation for the process that had lived up to this moment.
From now, the newly professed will become part of new communities. Tiar will join the community of the sisters in Bagong Silang and Don the community of professed brothers (DFC) in New Manila; but, from this Monday 12, they will begin a period of holydays with their families until early June. Tiar will go to the island of Sumatra in Indonesia, and Don to the island of Leyte in the central Philippines.
