Professions of SSCC sisters in India (Srs)

On Oct. 11, 2014 the fifth anniversary of the canonization of our Brother, St. Damien, before a beautifully and artistically arranged altar in the parish church of St. Vincent, Bhubaneswar, India, a combined rite of religious profession took place.

Sisters Tilottoma Goretti Nayak and Sujata Jena made their Final Profession of vows while Jayanti Das made her First Profession into the hands of Sr. Ratna Kumalasari, Major Superior of PPC Asia, as delegate of the Superior General.

The Most Rev. John Barwa, Archbishop was the main celebrant of the Eucharistic liturgy, assisted by our SSCC Fathers Stephen Banajare, Santhosh Thottankara and Pat Crowley and parish priest, Fr. Prasan Pradhan.  In the sanctuary as well were a number of diocesan priests and other SSCC priests.

Family members of the three Sisters joined in this solemn yet joyful Eucharistic liturgy, and rite which was followed by a short program in honor of the newly professed, and the sharing of a meal.

Prayerful congratulations and best wishes to our newly professed!
