Province of Africa: Priestly Ordination of Carmona Anijo (Brs)

The words "Go forth and preach" were on the front wall of the Church where our brother Carmona was ordained together with three diocesan priests. The Mass on December 14, the third Sunday of Advent, is engraved in the annals of the African province. Carmona Anijo Senguere is the first brother to be ordained to the priesthood who is Mozambiquan. Formation in Africa (in both Kinshasa and Mozambique) began twenty years ago and this is the first ss.cc. priest from Mozambique. It is a joy for the Church and a joy for the Congregation.
During the celebration, the Archbishop of Beira, Dom Jaime Gonçalves told the newly ordained, "Be light for others. Go forth and teach what you believe and live what you teach."
A priest is a gift. We celebrate this gift and we give thanks to God. We believe that he will send the Congregation other Carmonas. After the Mass we were all invited for a glass of cold water in the hall of the Cathedral, where there were more than two hundred people.
Today, December 15, Carmona will celebrate his first Mass in community. It is the first of a series of "first" masses. Carmona, we wish you blessings in your apostolate and in your priestly ministry.
