The winter retreat for the SSCC brothers of the Province of Chile is taking place between 8th and 13th July. The venue for the retreat is the House for Spiritual Exercises located at the Sanctuary of Auco (dedicated to Santa Teresa de los Andes). 36 brothers are taking part and the retreat is being led by Fr. Fernando Cordero, sscc. Fernando is inviting the participants to connect orthographic signs and punctuation marks with the spiritual life (the full stops that allow us to pause, the comma in the thicket of daily life, the ellipsis and parentheses, etc.).
The figure of Esteban Gumucio is very present in these retreat days with his texts or songs, as is the General Chapter invitation to take care of the "inner life".
At the end of the retreat, Thomas Sukotriraharjo and Fernando will begin their visit to the SSCC communities of Chile and their different works.
