From 4 to 9 January 2023, the sisters of the Territory of Peru, Brazil, Mexico and Bolivia held their annual retreat at the Good Mother Meeting House in Lima. The theme was: "Embracing our vulnerability in Jesus for the Kingdom".

Our sister Goyi Marín ss.cc., of the general government, invited us to reflect and meditate on the following themes: Naming and embracing my vulnerability; Jesus, a vulnerable man who assumes his vulnerability; naming and embracing community vulnerability; the vulnerability of the community of Jesus; liberating encounters of Jesus; the vulnerability of creation; entering into the synodal process, as consecrated women, embracing our vulnerability; celebrating vulnerability embraced and assumed.

All the sisters of the Territory are grateful for these days which have truly been a space of encounter with this God who loves us, who calls us and who counts on us, from our vulnerability, to announce his merciful love. We also thank Goyi for her kindness in sharing the retreat with our older sisters of the Bethlehem community, at a different time and in her own community. She leaves us with the challenge to continue to recognise and embrace our vulnerabilities from below, from the bowels, from the centre and from within.
