The Andean Province SSCC, in the Colombia Zone, continues to carry forward the process of the Sacred Hearts School of Young Leaders — a formative project aimed at preparing young people capable of animating and accompanying Youth Ministry processes from the congregation's spirituality and charism. Within this formative journey, whose first stage is named Roots of the Leader, topics such as self-knowledge, affectivity, SSCC spirituality, personal identity, and the motivations of leadership have been explored.
As the closing of this first stage, on May 16 and 17, eight young people participated in the spiritual experience of the Granero (the Barn), led by Sr. Margarita sscc, Br. Juan Pablo sscc, and Br. Oliver sscc.
Inspired by the experience of the Good Father at the Granero and by the origins of the Congregation, the young people lived moments of silence, prayer, reparatory adoration, introspection, fraternal sharing, and a sending forth — deepening their experience of faith and in the call to live a life of service to the community in Christ and for others.
