The 2nd provincial chapter of the Andina province was held between 7-11 December, 2020. 16 brothers participated. Also present were Sr. Susana Villarreal sscc, from Peru, Bolivia, Mexico and Brazil, and Alberto Toutin from the General Government. The Chapter involved three groups meeting simultaneously in Lima, Bogotá and Quito and remaining connected via online. Among the topics addressed were: pastoral and missionary conversion especially in the field of pastoral care of parishes, schools and educational and family works, clarification of the role of zonal animators, guidelines for the economy and monthly accountability of the zones, the definition of a policy of prevention of abuse and of good treatment and mutual care in pastoral works. A new Provincial Government was elected; Hilvar Loyaga (Provincial), Pedro Vidarte (Provincial Vicar), Arnoldo Fernández (Councillor) and Víctor Gualán (Councillor). The General Government was grateful for the welcome, the preparation of the chapter by the commissions and the way the Chapter flowed. A word of thanks goes to the outgoing government, especially Raúl Pariamachi. We renew our support for and accompaniment of the new Provincial Government.
