On December 8th, the faithful of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Serampore, served by the Brothers of the Sacred Hearts, gathered with great joy and devotion to celebrate the feast of their patroness, the Blessed Virgin Mary. This solemn occasion was marked by prayer, fellowship, and the active participation of priests, religious, and lay people.
Solemn eucharistic celebration

He was joined at the altar by the Regional Superior, the Regional Econome, Claretian priests, and diocesan clergy, whose presence added to the solemnity of the celebration. The liturgy was enriched by the participation of many sisters from various congregations who gathered in unity to honor Mary, the Mother of God.
In his homily, the Archbishop reflected on the mystery of the Immaculate Conception, reminding the faithful of Mary’s purity and her role as a model of faith and obedience. He encouraged the community to draw inspiration from her life and to persevere in their mission of service and love.
Youth-led cultural program
After the Mass, the parish youth presented a short cultural program in which, through songs and performances, they expressed their devotion to the Virgin Mary and highlighted the importance of youth involvement in the life of the Church. Their enthusiasm brought joy to all present and showcased the vitality of the parish community.
