Solidarity shines at benefit concert in Saint Anthony's Chapel

Music and solidarity came together on Sunday, June 15, at the Saint Anthony Chapel (Sint-Antoniuskapel) in the heart of Leuven, Belgium, during a benefit concert by Koor Crescendo in support of Memisa, a medical NGO that aids health centers in Burundi.

The well-attended event was conducted by Roel Meere and accompanied on the organ by Daan Meere. For over an hour, the audience enjoyed a diverse choral repertoire that touched hearts—both through its musical quality and the meaningful cause it supported: improving healthcare in vulnerable regions, especially for mothers and refugee children.

All proceeds from ticket sales went directly to Memisa’s projects in Africa. The warm, intimate atmosphere of the venue, along with the dedication of performers and audience alike, made the evening a true hymn to hope and international cooperation, deeply in tune with the missionary legacy of Saint Damien De Veuster.
