On Thursday 16th March, Derek Laverty, representing Alberto Toutin, participated in a day long workshop regarding the strategic plan for the project ‘Solidarity with South Sudan’ (2023-2027). Present at the meeting were board members, staff members and religious of a number of the supporting Congregations. A total of 35 people participated.
Four main areas were reviewed in the morning session: Education, Health, Agriculture and Pastoral. A similar workshop took place in the afternoon regarding the following four Strategic Directions: collaboration and partnership, sustainability, governance and management, solidarity ethos.
It was felt that the project needs to be newly promoted as many congregations may be unaware of its existence or indeed its history.
