The SSCC brothers of the zone of Peru gathered for their retreat from Monday 8 to Friday 12 January at the Laura Vicuña house of spirituality in Chaclacayo (Lima).
On this occasion, taking into account the synodal context that the Church is living, the brothers reflected on the meditations of Timothy Radcliffe OP, who was the spiritual accompanier of the Assembly of the Synod on Synodality in Rome in October 2023.
The meditations were as follows: 1) Hoping against hope; 2) God in our home and our home in God; 3) Friendship; 4) The conversation on the road to Emmaus; 5) Authority; 6) The Spirit of truth.
Some SSCC brothers had been asked to be the facilitators for different days of the retreat. They and all those who helped in the retreat were much appreciated and thanked.
