From January 22 to 24, a meeting of the I and II stages of the brothers and the I stage of the sisters took place at the sisters’ house in San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Spain).
The meeting combined times of work specific to each branch with shared moments of prayer, community life, and celebration. On Friday, the sisters addressed a provincial topic and Youth and Vocational Ministry (YVM), while the brothers carried out the usual life review in groups according to age and language. Prayers, meals, and the Saturday Eucharist were shared together.
As a new feature, and in response to the wishes expressed in the evaluation of the previous year, Saturday morning was devoted to joint work between sisters and brothers focused on unity, relationship, and collaboration between the two branches. The dialogue, which was not intended to make decisions, became a space for mutual listening, respect, and encounter, rooted in shared responsibility for the gift and mission of the SSCC charism.
It was a time of reflection and community life that provided an enriching experience for all participants.
