During this month of January, General Councillor Stephen Banjare sscc has been visiting the communities of the Chile-Argentina Province. After visiting areas such as Valparaíso, Santiago, and Concepción, the religious highlighted the "simple life and lofty thinking" of the brothers, emphasizing that their integration with the people is a prophetic witness in times of uncertainty.
Main focuses of his visit:
-
Interdependence: Facing declining membership, he called on the province to share resources and personnel in solidarity.
-
Youth and Synodality: He emphasized the urgency of listening to young people and including lay people in institutional decision-making.
-
Mission in the field: Banjare will participate in the Summer Missions in Cañete (from January 26 to 31) after visiting Argentina and participating in the Summer Assembly in Santiago.
For the Councillor, the Congregation's charism remains relevant as a sign of hope: "Our world needs simple gestures and communities that embrace."
