For SSCC youths in Mexico, summer time has not been a vacation without God. On the contrary, taking advantage of the interruption of academic activities in August, the young people heard the voice of the Lord who said to them “Come away to some lonely place all by yourselves and rest for a while.” (Mark 6:31)
When embarking, they have found God in silence, in the encounter with each own self and with the other, and have gradually discovered the mission that the Lord asks them to carry out during the school year that will soon begin.
The groups Reencuentro SSCC and Shekinah from the parishes of San Isidro and Preciosa Sangre de Cristo, they met for a few days of prayer and reflection and to share their faith with other young people.
Also, summer has been the privileged setting for the interparroquial meeting of SSCC acolytes, children, adolescents and also young people, who gathered to know more about Sacred Hearts spirituality, and to renew their faith and commitment in the service of the altar.
These activities being the preparation for the annual interparroquial meeting of SSCC youth ministry, which will be held in the month of September 2017.
