On June 19, feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, our sister Griniya Joshi, from India, made her temporary profession. The celebration took place in the community Maria, Ina ng Kapayapaan (Our Lady of Peace), Kamuning, QC, Philippines. The theme chosen by Griniya for this occasion was: "Taste and see the goodness of the Lord". Anastasia Puji Hasttuti, delegate of the Superior General, accepted the vows of Griniya, since neither Irene Barboza, Delegate Superior of the Zone, nor Romeka Situmorang, Coordinator of Asia, could be present due to the state of alarm over the covid'19.
Our brother Jovy Grabato presided the celebration, Oscar Jebaut concelebrated and the sisters and brothers of the different communities of the Philippines were present. Besides, the communities of Hawaii, USA, Bandung and Yogyakarta from Indonesia, Calcutta and Bhubaneswar from India, and the community of the brothers in Dangadighila, Calcutta, where the brother of Griniya lives, joined us through Skype. Her parents and other family members also were connected via Skype to witness Griniya's commitment to follow the Lord in the Congregation.
At the end of the celebration, Irene Barboza, and Romeka Situmorang, addressed Griniya, thanking her for her generosity and commitment and welcoming her into the Congregation.
After the Eucharist, the celebration continued with a simple and fraternal meal.
