The sisters of the Chile-Paraguay Territory (39 in total), met in Viña del Mar, from January 13 to 24, for their Annual Retreat and the Assembly. The former whose theme revolved around the "God of Mercy", was given by Sergio Silva, sscc. And, during the days of the Assembly, the reflection revolved around the situation of the Church and society in Chile today.
The sisters worked, using two very interesting dynamics ,and with an atmosphere of ‘deep listening’ and were able to establish some priorities of ecclesial reality, such as the social upheaval , which has been taking place for the last 3 months, which challenges them as consecrated life. The idea is that the synthesis reached by the groups can be reflected on and incorporated into the 2020 Community Projects.
The opportunity enabled the election of the delegates to the II Assembly of the Latin America Zone.
It was also a good instance to celebrate and give thanks the 25 years of religious life of Marta Montecino and Soledad Molina, with a simple Eucharist that was presided over by the Apostolic Administrator of Valparaíso.
These days of fraternity, meetings and common prayer, culminated with the annual outing to a campsite in the Limache sector.
On this occasion, the sisters of Paraguay did not participate in the retreat or the Assembly, since they will have it next July.
