From the 1st to the 22nd September, the General Chapters of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts take place at Villa Aurelia in Rome.
The 37th General Chapter of the sisters will begin by looking at reports on the life and mission of the Congregation. They will approve some updated documents to guide ss.cc education and the accompaniment of young people in the SSCC style. In addition, they will reflect on Fraternity and Leadership, with a view to becoming aware of the challenges in community life and animation. Likewise, they will take into account the reflections on their Organisation and Structures, given that they have been testing other ways of organising themselves (ad experimentum). A new General Government will also be elected and the approval of a final document will take place.
The 40th General Chapter of the brothers develops the main theme of SS.CC. identity and mission, which transects and guides the structures, leadership, economy & solidarity, formation, and the spiritual and historical heritage of the Congregation. A fundamental aspect of our Congregation is that since its beginnings we are a single family of brothers and sisters and associated with us in our spirituality and mission are lay men and women.
