The historic house of Coussay-les-Bois, where the Good Father was born, is entering a new stage of life. Sister Rose Marie, committed to preserving the congregation’s spiritual heritage, is leading the restoration work with the aim of bringing new life and meaning to this symbolic place.
In the coming months, the sister plans to refurbish the ground floor of the house to welcome visitors and host community activities.
At the same time, work at La Motte d’Usseau is progressing steadily. Until February, the focus will be on electrical and plumbing installations, followed by painting and the reorganization of rooms from March to June.
The goal is to transform La Motte d’Usseau into a space dedicated to spiritual retreats and formation sessions open to brothers, sisters, laypeople, and families. If everything goes as planned, the work will be completed by next summer’s session, allowing accommodation on site.
Thus, during the next “Picpus–Poitiers Session,” participants will be able to enjoy evenings of adoration in the old barn, without having to return to Poitiers at the end of the day.
A fraternal initiative that unites material restoration with spiritual renewal.
