Earlier this month (16-18 November) twelve family members of our ss.cc. brothers met in Damien House, Macul, Chile.
This community of ‘mamas and papas’ (Comapa) - all related to Sacred Hearts brothers in Chile - meet once a year for a retreat. They are usually accompanied by an SSCC brother - often the Provincial. On this occasion it was René Cabezón sscc.
The families came from La Union, Rio Bueno, Concepcion, Talcahuano, Viña del Mar and Santiago.
Together they reflected on the current situation of the church in Chile as well as the invitation of Pope Francis to study more the place of conscience in the lives of laity and the roots of popular religiosity.
