On 12 July the participants of the meeting were welcomed by the SSCC sisters at the Grand'Maison of Poitiers. The Poitiers Session takes place from July 13 until July 31. 13 sisters and 13 brothers are taking part in this session, in addition to the organizing team and translators. Poitiers, is the first stage of the spiritual journey. It will be a time of deepening the spirituality of the Congregation and of reflection on how to propose this spirituality, especially to young people (pastoral or initial formation). The next stage will be Leuven (July 23-26) and finally Picpus (July 26- 31).
On 13 July, in the diocesan house of Poitiers the total group of 13 sisters and 13 brothers participating in the session gathered together. Besides them, the translators and the organizing team (7) were also present. The first day was devoted to the integration of the group working around the journey of faith and what makes us to live as sscc religious. We also celebrated the first Eucharist, presided over by Alberto Toutin sscc, focused on the invitation of Jesus to embrace his cause, the secret of his strange happiness, "losing to win."
On Tuesday July 14, Nuria Lobo sscc encouraged a reflection about young people today, from a previous work done in this regard by the participants: who they are and what they are looking for and how it challenges our religious community.
