The Province of Iberica celebrated the third Provincial Chapter in the house of San Jose, El Escorial, march 27 through 31. There were thirty capitulants: five were members of the Provincial Government and twenty-five delegates elected by the Province. Present also were the Superior General Javier Álvarez-Ossorio and Sister Nuria Lobo, the coordinator of the territory of Spain.
The main work of the chapter was the working out of a strategic plan for the Province. This consists in four strategic spokes (the religious life, apostolic works, restructuring and formation). Each spoke offers objectives, plans and annual undertakings. Among other things, the plan is supposed to help the new provincial in its job of reorganizing the Province since it is already clearly known that the province cannot keep going with the immense volume of work which the brothers are doing.
The new provincial government is made up of Aurelio Cayón Díaz (Provincial), Pedro Gordillo (vicar), Leopoldo Antolín, Eduardo de Haza and Francisco (Curro) Cruz (counselors). Enrique Losada has finished his service as provincial after two terms (six years) since the establishment of the province in 2010.
