The annual meeting of the treasurers of the CEA was held in El Escorial (Spain), from 25 to 26 April 2016. The participants were: Javier Otazu (Iberia), Alfons Fraboulet (France, in place of Christian Flottes); Martin Königstein (Germany, in place of Manfred Kollig); Ryszard Koscicki (Africa); Fergal Maguire (Ireland-England); Alex Aarts (Netherlands, lay man); Zbigniew Zalewski (Poland); Derek Laverty (CEA Coordinator) and Raja Sebastian (General Treasurer).
Derek Laverty welcomed all. The day started with a special prayer for Paul Aerts (Flanders) who died on 14 March 2016. At the end of the day the Eucharist was also offered for him.
During the meeting the financial reports of each province in the CEA were studied. Likewise, Africa's request for the initial formation of the next year was also discussed. Various issues were also considered, such as the continuation of our mission in the future, the need for a strategic plan for the allocation of assets for the future mission, how to support the mission of the economically weaker provinces, etc.
