Tribute to Fr. Jorge Dintilhac sscc (Peru)

On April 16, in an emotional ceremony held in Lima, the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) paid tribute to Fr. Jorge Dintilhac sscc on the occasion of the 109^th anniversary of the institution’s founding.

The event brought together academic authorities, diplomatic representatives, and members of the university community, who highlighted the founder’s legacy in shaping professionals committed to the country’s development.

During the ceremony, organized by the Alumni and Graduates Association, the enduring relevance of the values of excellence and humanism promoted since 1917 was emphasized.

Likewise, Rector Julio del Valle Ballón underscored Fr. Dintilhac’s vision and called for the defense of truth in the face of disinformation. The event concluded with the institutional motto: “Et lux in tenebris lucet” (And the light shines in the darkness).
