Interview with Elena Díaz Muriel, religious of the Sacred Hearts, who has just published her first book ‘A la sombra del Malunggay. Relatos desde el corazón’ (In the shadow of the Malunggay. Stories from the heart) published by San Pablo. She currently lives in Seville in a community of SSCC sisters and works in Caritas.
The text, in which the author opens her heart to us, while living in the Philippines for a few months in community with her sisters, in an experience of vocation and of service and dedication to the most needy, can be read as a spiritual diary, a journey into oneself, or as a book of stories that speak to us with vividness of death and life, of tearing and healing, of impotence and of hope.
