In these first days of July, 29 members of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts, from 14 nationalities, gathered in Picpus, Paris, to begin the Poitiers Session 2026.
On July 7 and 8, we began with conferences on consecration by Bernard Couronne sscc and Maxime Menga sscc.
On July 9, we had a Marian reflection by María del Mar Pérez sscc, which helped us grasp the spiritual meaning of this time of formation. We were also joined by the Superiors General, Patricia Villarroel sscc and Alberto Toutin sscc, who sent us forth on mission.
With the Archbishop of Paris, Mons. Laurent Ulrich, we celebrated the feast of Our Lady of Peace — a especially significant day, marking the 220th anniversary of Our Lady of Peace in Picpus and the 200th anniversary of the first SSCC missionary sending to Hawaii, a double anniversary connecting us to the roots of our charism. Finally, we celebrated our faith at the Parish of Our Lady of the Hostages, where our SSCC brothers, the martyrs of Picpus, were shot.
