Can a saint from the 19th century help us live better in the age of artificial intelligence, Instagram filters, and fake news? In the YouTube program “Cruzando Fronteras”, we discover the surprising relevance of Damien of Molokai, the missionary of the Sacred Hearts who chose to share his life with the lepers of the Hawaiian island of Molokai. This is inspired by the illustrated book “San Damián de Molokai a nuestro lado”, published by San Pablo.
The author Fernando Cordero ss.cc. and the illustrator Francis Marín engage in dialogue with Noemí García ss.cc. and various guests on very current topics: authenticity on social media, the intelligence of the heart versus artificial intelligence, the power of stories, hope in the midst of suffering, and the call to cross borders in our own world. A collective program featuring testimonies from educators, musicians, pastors, young people, and professionals who help us discover a central idea: your Molokai can be anywhere.

Because Damien’s message remains provocative today: to live without filters, to love to the very end, and to turn life into a light that illuminates others.
