Visit to the Novitiate Community in the Philippines and Final Assembly (Sisters)

The Novitiate community has 4 sisters: Anastasia Puji Hastuti (novice mistress), Rose Reeves, Anastasia Imaniar Rusani and Pushpa Rani Arputham, who is still waiting for her travel papers. There is also a novice from India, Usharani Nayak. The community is focused on formation and together they support and encourage the different rhythms of the novice and the juniorate.

The sisters and brothers collaborate in formation, participating in the inter-congregational Exodus programme and having joint sessions on the Spirituality and Charism of the Congregation. They had a meeting of the two novitiates in Silang (Brothers' novitiate), participating in the Eucharist, sharing with the novices, and enjoying a simple meal at the Ecological Farm in Tagayta. There were different moments of meeting with the brothers, some went to the community to celebrate the Eucharist, and on the last day, the sisters went to the Damien formation house, to participate in the Eucharist and have breakfast together.

On the 2nd of November, Patricia and Aurora met with the commissions of Youth and Vocation Ministry, Initial and Ongoing Formation, and Finance, sharing their plans and concerns. In the afternoon, the Assembly of the Sisters of the Philippines was held to conclude the canonical visitation. It was an important moment to share the journey that the communities in the Philippines are making, with its richness and challenges. They committed themselves to continue their work for the Vocation Ministry.
