The Vocation Promotion Team, led by Fr. Bonie Payong sscc, along with Br. Jerome Limbo and Br. Harold Mejorada, visited the Archdiocese of Capiz from February 3 to 7, 2025. Capiz is a province in Western Visayas rich in cultural heritage, natural beauty, and religious devotion. Its capital, Roxas City, is famous for its abundant seafood, serene beaches, and historic churches. The province is also home to a deeply faithful Catholic community, making it a meaningful destination for vocation promotion. Capiz is accessible by air, land, and sea. The fastest way to reach Roxas City is by taking a direct flight from Manila to Roxas Airport, which takes about an hour. For those traveling by land, there are bus services from Iloilo and other neighboring provinces. Alternatively, travelers from Manila can take a ferry to Iloilo and then a bus or van to Capiz.
During their visit, they traveled to various parishes, engaging with young people and sharing the charism of the Congregation. A highlight of their mission was the opportunity to meet the Archbishop of Roxas, the Most Rev. Victor Bendico, D.D., who welcomed them with warmth and encouragement. Vocation promotion is a vital ministry where brothers go to different places to proclaim and promote the charism of the Congregation. Through these encounters, they plant the seeds of vocation, inspiring young people to consider a life dedicated to the Church and the mission of the Sacred Hearts.
