Hola, Mabuhay, Hello and Salam dari I
I am Tiar,SS.CC, an Indonesian and working with the youth and is in charge as a Vocation Promototion and Youth Ministry in Indonesia. I am belongs to the Henriette Community Batam – Indonesia. I am actively doing activities and accompanying young people in the parish, and SSCC Youth with Fr. Junaedi,SS.CC.
In the parish, there are so many young people but only a few are active. This is because they are workers and students, so it is difficult to divide their time to participate in activities in the parish and in the SSCC youth program. Their spirit does not discourage me from continuing to accompany them to do weekly activities and in big activities such as youth Mass, rosary prayers, sports, leadership training, choir training, family visits and even station of the cross and recreation together at the beach. I really love my job and learnt a lot from them how to be creative, not discouraged, dare to try new things, learn to dance and using social media. I can also listen to their sharing, be their friend and a motivator.
Recently we made live - in program in the community with 8 girls. I felt so grateful and an unforgettable experience during the accompaniment of them. We were able to hear and learn from each of one story and dreams with the challenges and struggles that they have. We felt mutual strengthened and God was truly at work within us. His love heals and strengthens our faith and hope in Him. I remember the quotation of Good Mother says” Let us love the cross, my dear, or at least let us carry it courageously. In my reflection, the meaning of the cross is the value of life.
