From 1 - 6 August, the World Youth Day is taking place in Lisbon. Pope Francis will be present for a time.
The Youth Pastoral and Vocational Ministry in the Iberian Province wanted to make participation in this great feast of the Catholic Church a priority and it has succeeded. 164 young people from Malaga, Jerez, Seville (San Marcos and Los Remedios), Madrid (Martín de los Heros and San Víctor-Virgen de Mirasierra) and Barcelona (Padre Damián), have travelled to Lisbon to enjoy this meeting under the motto chosen by the Sacred Hearts: "Get up and get on the road". Several sscc brothers are accompanying the young people.
Before the event, a group of young pilgrims from the SSCC Parish of Quito visited the communities of elderly sscc brothers and sisters of El Escorial and San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Madrid). They were accompanied by David de la Torre sscc.
