Fr. Emilio Vega García, 74 years old, died on June 6, 2016 in El Escorial (Spain).
He entered the novitiate in 1958 and he was professed on September 8, 1959 in San Miguel, Spain.
He was ordained a priest in Madrid (Spain) on March 2, 1968.
Fr. Emilio was General Postulator and General Procurator of the Congregation between 1997 and 2007.
He worked actively for Damien’s canonization. During his time as Postulator, Eustaquio Van Lieshout was beatified.
His funeral takes place on Tuesday, June 7, at 12:30 in the Church of SSCC house in El Escorial
