October 13, Sunday, Cathedral of Tarragona, Spain: 522 martyrs of the twentieth century in Spain were beatified. Among them 5 of our brothers.
These brothers were part of a "cloud of witnesses", along with other brothers and sisters, religious and laity who, at the same time, ran the same risks and shared the same fate in the name of the Gospel.
They also remind us of all those places where members of the Church and even brothers and sisters of the Congregation risk their lives on behalf of the proclamation of the Gospel.
Their testimony of faith, in an environment of violence and persecution against the Church, can inspire our own testimony in our circumstances and in our time.
