Centenary celebrations - sscc brothers in Torrelavega (Iberia)

‘100 years Contigo' is the motto commemorating the centenary of the arrival of the Religious of the Sacred Hearts in Torrelavega in Cantabria (Spain). Pope Francis has granted a jubilee year to the parishes of Our Lady of Peace in Torrelavega and Saints Justo and Pastor in Sierrapando. The events to mark the centenary began on 22 December with the unveiling of a commemorative stone on the main facade of the school Nuestra Señora de la Paz in the presence of Aurelio Cayón, Provincial Superior of the SSCC Iberian Province, accompanied by the Director General of the school, Marisol Dosal.

Pequeña puntualización. Los hermanos llegaron a España el año 1880, siendo la primera fundación en Miranda de Ebro, Burgos.
El año 1921 se fundó el colegio Nuestra Señora de la Paz, en Torrelavega.
El actual esdificio es del año 1965- La fachada del colegio es del escultor Josep María Subirachs.
Este escultor el año 1986 se encargó de la fachada de la Pasión en el templo de la Sagrada Famillia de Barcelona, de Gaudi. Su obra principal es la fachada de la Pasión con escenas desde la última cena hasta el descendimienton.

Queridos Hermanos, ¡Feliz Centenario de lallegada de la llegada de la Congregaciòn a España! Que maravilla que lo puedan celebrar, que los Sagrados Corazones los sigan bendiciendolos para continuar con la obra de Dios con mayor celo y entusisamo por misiòn que Dios les ha confiado.
