Meeting of the team of formators of the 4th stage

On Friday, November 25, a meeting of the team of formators for the 4th stage took place, via videoconference, at 5 p.m. (Italian time).  Participating in this meeting were Alexis Nayak (India), Enrique Ramírez Capetillo (Mexico), Josef Rianghepat (Indonesia), Thomas Sukotriraharjo and Jean Blaise Mwanda (Rome).

 Among the items on the agenda were the IF statistics of the various conferences, an evaluation of the 5 meetings of the 4th stage programme (2022-2023) including 2 meetings (video conference) with the sisters in preparation for perpetual vows and the study of the possibility of organizing an international meeting of the 4th stage before the next General Chapter.

The brothers of the 4th stage have very happy with the themes discussed so far: the vows of chastity, obedience and poverty today, mission and internationality, sexual abuse, synodality in collaboration: brothers, sisters and  laity and Congregation today: visions and challenges.  They propose a theme on the use of technology and - by creating language groups - a time for interaction between them.

Regarding the possibility of organizing an international meeting given the Covid-19 pandemic, the war in central Europe with its consequences in the peripheral areas of the world and the economic crisis, the team of formators of the 4th stage  will engage with the GG to explore other opportunities for international experience during the time of IF for a period between 6 months and one year
