From 14 to 22 August 2022, the VIII Provincial Chapter of the Province of Africa was celebrated at the Scholasticate community, Mikondo (Kinshasa). Veronique Lundolo, Coordinator of the African territory and Jean Blaise Mwanda Ndozi, representative of the General Government were present.
In discernment and in the search for God's will together, after listening to the report of the outgoing Provincial Government, certain themes were discussed: Economy and management, educational commission of the sscc schools, IF and OF, community and mission, PARL and Statutes as well as the different commissionS Underpinning the Chapter was the theme: "Synodality and mission".
The brothers proceeded to the election of the new provincial government: Camille Sapu Malangu was re-elected Provincial Superior, and Jean Marie Kenguni Mputu was elected as Vicar Provincial. Léon Molonde Longange, Eliseu Alfredo and Antonio Riaño were chosen as councillors.
To conclude this celebration, a Mass of thanksgiving was celebrated on the occasion of the feast of Saint Bernard, presided over by the re-elected Provincial. A fraternal meal was shared with the sisters and lay ss.cc.
