The canonical visit to the sisters in Bolivia took place from 25 to 3 November. Amelia Mera, Margarita Portugal, Demetria Paco, Verónica Torres and Alejandra Muñoz were visited by Patricia Villarroel, Superior General, and Margarita Orozco, Councillor.

The main strength of this presence, which will be 140 years old in October 2023, is apostolic service. The Colegio Sagrados Corazones, located in the centre of La Paz, is active in the morning, afternoon and evening, Monday to Sunday, serving children, youth and adults, the latter through agreements with the Bolivian State. This year the school is making the transition to a secular management and adjusting its administrative component.

The restoration work being done on the school's chapel and various ancient pieces of religious art is admirable. A team of experts is reorganising the archives since the foundation of the congregation in Bolivia, which is considered an important asset, not only for what it represents historically for the country, but also for the congregation in various Latin American countries, with which Bolivia has been linked.

The visitatrixes also met with the SSCC laity, who enjoyed the meeting in person, presided at adoration and shared some experiences of life and apostolate. Part of this visit was marked by the traditional celebration of the feasts of All Saints and the Faithful Departed, in which a deep communion is shown with those who have departed to the "Arajpacha" (land above or heaven).

The sisters in Bolivia are challenged by vocational youth ministry, formation and work with the laity, and the strengthening of community life as a guarantor and encouragement of the apostolate.
