On February 2 we celebrated the feast of the Presentation of the Lord and of Religious Life at the Viceprovincial House, with a Eucharistic and a shared lunch with the brothers of the communities “San Damián” of El Diamante (Mosquera), “Bruno Benati” of Barrio Córdoba (Bogotá), and the brothers of the Vice Provincial House. It was a simple celebration in which we recalled our religious profession. Each of the brothers participating shared what has been for him the most significant experience of being a sscc religious.
The Word of God helped to our reflection, as well as a sentence of the letter of Pope Francis in the year of Consecrated Life: “Recounting our history is essential for preserving our identity, for strengthening our unity as a family and our common sense of belonging.”
In the celebration we gave thanks for the history of each of the brothers in the Congregation and we prayed for the brothers who made their religious profession on this date.
After the Eucharist we shared a delicious lunch. The brothers were grateful for the openness to share as we did. It helps us grow in fraternity.
