Closing of the Pacific/USA-Asia Zone Assembly (Sisters)

On March 17, the Pacific/USA-Asia Zone Assembly ended. After a week of intense work, the sisters finalized all the documents: Lines of Action and Roadmap for Youth and Vocation Ministry, for Initial Formation, Ongoing Formation and for Mission. They worked on the Action Protocol for the prevention and intervention on abuse of minors and vulnerable persons. They also updated the General Plan of the Zone and the Statutes. They were able to share with Pankras the CAP resolutions, which emphasize collaboration with the sisters in various fields: Formation, Mission and Secular Branch.

The intense work was accompanied by a very well prepared and creative liturgy, which put cultural nuances of each of the countries. In the final evaluation, the sisters pointed out the Sacred Hearts family spirit that was present throughout the meeting. They also valued as very positive the fact that it was held in a house of the Congregation, because it made it more " home-like". The work of the Zone Government and the team in charge of the preparation of the Assembly, which facilitated the smooth running of the Assembly, was highly appreciated. Special mention was made of the work of the sisters in charge of the kitchen, for their creativity and promptness in preparing the varied and tasty meals.

The Assembly ended with a word of thanks from Irene Barboza, Superior Delegate of the Zone, expressing her gratitude for the attitude, work and commitment of each sister. The next step is the transmission to the sisters of the two Territories who did not attend the Assembly.
