The canonical visit to the Province of France-Quebec ended on the 14th July , the national feast day of France. In the final Assembly, the General government shared echoes of the visit, highlighting the positive aspects, the challenges and the recommendation for the Province.
Appreciation was expressed for the welcome received in each community, the preparation prior to the visit and the involvement of the sisters in the process which the Province is undertaking as well as that of the Congregation. The journey which the Province is making in harmony with the process of reconfiguration of the Congregation was valued. The experience of God and missionary zeal so deeply rooted in the life of the sisters, enable the challenges planted by the “New Face of the Congregation” to be readily and enthusiastically received.
With the invitation to “open out the tent” they worked on the attitudes, the realities, commitments and strengths with empower and animate the present and the future of the Province, in harmony with the Congregation. The echoes concluded with the invitation by Pope Francis in this year of Consecrated Life: “look to the past with gratitude, live the present with passion and courage and embrace the future with hope”, without allowing oneself to be discouraged by the difficulties encountered on the way. Knowing that God alone is capable of filling our hearts and making us happy.
The Assembly finished with an entertaining program and a celebratory meal.
