On June 16, at the General House on Via Aurelia, the Sisters and Brothers of the communities of Rome gathered to celebrate 50 years of consecrated life of Goyi Marin sscc and to thank the Lord for her constant fidelity.
The Eucharist was presided over by Fernando Cordero sscc who, in his homily, beautifully interwoven the texts of the liturgy with the story of Goyi: "Life becomes music and song with Psalm 91: 'It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to play for his name, O Most High; to proclaim in the morning your mercy and at night your faithfulness'. Playing, singing and dancing. It is a refrain that dynamically defines what Goyi likes to do most since she was a child. Mercy and faithfulness, the lyrics that are repeated, in a special way when remembering a whole life". Intertwining this psalm with Mary's burst of joy in the Magnificat, Fernando mentioned Goyi's missionary journey: "That heart bursts in Peal and Madrid, in Jaen and Salamanca, in Medellin, Lisbon and Seville, in Mozambique and the Democratic Republic of Congo and now in Rome. Places in whose geography the preferential love of Jesus stands out, places that mark and have marked you a lot".
Goyi made the renewal of her religious profession in the hands of Patricia Villarroel sscc, Superior General, and at the end of the Eucharist, she expressed her gratitude for the great love of the Lord for her, for his discreet and creative passage through her life. She felt that the readings of the day were deeply linked to her personal history, that the seed, although small, placed in the ground had already grown and was bearing fruit. Goyi thanked the sisters and brothers for the experience lived during these years. The celebration continued with the sharing of a delicious meal.
