On April 12, 2018, the first group of Secular Branch members in Batam (Indonesia) made their promises. It is the second group of Secular Branch in Indonesia, after the one in Bandung.
The ten laity who made their commitments are Erasma Muka Kasi, Josephus Micahel Permana Setiawan, Yoakim Rahmatprasojo, Theresia Dana Hutami, Monica Evy Mariani, Dominikus Maria Suwarno, Maria Lidwina Ika Haryundari, Hendrina Linong, Robertus Edy Bambang Sutopo, and Martina Djumiastuti. The group has received accompaniment for the past two years by Sr. Anastasia Puji Hastuti sscc and Fr. Martin Irawan sscc.
The ceremony took place in the Oasis Retreat Center of the brothers in Batam. The eucharist celebration was presided by the Superior General, Javier Álvarez-Ossorio who is present there during these days to participate in the CAP meeting.
