According to the proposal of the General Government, the five communities in the Philippines got together in DFC house (professed community) on March 19, Tuesday, to celebrate “healing and reconciliation”.
In the context of Lent and the Year of Blessed Eustaquio, we started with a brief motivation, a song and an opening prayer. We continued with a reading from the letter to Romans and a time of reflection and prayer in silence. During this time, the brothers had the opportunity to offer each other the sacrament of reconciliation.
After this, we used the symbols of water and oil renewing the commitment of our baptism and receiving the healing from the Spirit of Jesus. The embrace of peace followed as a sign of our purpose to live a healed brotherhood. We ended singing the Our Father and Salve Regina. Finally, we share a festive dinner especially prepared for this occasion.
