Assembly of the Dutch Delegation (Brs)

On April 23, the assembly of the Delegation of the Netherlands took place in Teteringen. Ten (10) brothers ?of the fourteen (14) that make up the Delegation? attended.  Mrs. Anne-Margriet, responsible for the care of the elderly and sick brothers was also present. Javier Álvarez-Ossorio, Superior General was present and was thereby also saying goodbye to the brothers of this community.

Chaired by Jan Munsters, superior of the Delegation, the assembly discussed the following topics: greetings from the Superior General, review of the minutes of the previous assembly (October 10, 2017), financial report of the year, Anne-Margriet's report on the evolution of the health of some brothers, and a reflection by Rogier Van Rossum on devotion to the Sacred Heart.

The closing Eucharist was presided by the Superior General. In his homily, he spoke of the call to freedom of faith (overcoming borders and going through the door that is Christ) and thanked the brothers for their cordiality, their firm organization as religious in community, and their testimony of a religious life which is joyful and trusting in old age.

Next August 1, the Delegation will close the house of Den Bosch (former provincial house). The four brothers who are in Den Bosch will move to Teteringen, which then will be the only community of the Delegation.
